We recently released a new site for Diversicare which was a remodel and a restructure of their older wordpress site.
Diversicare is a Brisbane based Service provider that care for people from many origins and specialise in cultural and language understanding. It’s a great service and their old site was suffering from fatigue and information overload.
When restructuring a site, analysing the current content and information delivery needs is highly important as is understanding the users / groups for this content. An important part of our role was helping to clarify the two main segmentations that make up Diversicare’s audience and helping drive those users to the right content easily.
Starting first with a content and user audit and working through the design phases the new site was launched late in 2015 and has a strong visual message with much less clutter and a simpler pathway to follow for users many of whom english is their second language and who may also be elderly.
Using our custom theme and some key framework elements to allow Diversicare staff to control a strong design layout in WordPress without much of the typical page builder plugin bloat and speed issues, means they can restructure and layout pages easily, edit and maintain content and keep the site up to date.
After training and delivery of the final product here is what they had to say:
“Thanks Darryl I am enjoying it being live and so far updates to the website have been pretty straight forward to manage. Thanks again for all your help in putting it together and look forward to working with your team in keeping it up to date.”
