About Warwick
I have been working in the web industry for over 6 years now, and prior to that had 2 years of schooling, where I completed a diploma in digital media. I first found my interest in the web while I was doing an I.T. support course, I then moved my focus onto web design and development.
Through schooling I fell in love with the progression of the web, and the relative youth of the industry. Everything was moving so fast, it was hard to keep up, but within that there was a hidden excitement. Once I finished my schooling I was lucky to land a great job in Armidale, NSW (my home town at the time) working for the Australian Floral Relay Service Petals Network. I think I learnt more about the web there than I had at school.
This is where my love of everything related to web design started, I'd have to say my favourite areas are; design (of course), HTML / CSS markup, and also the progress of a site over time, building traffic, site optimisation etc.
What Warwick does
On a day to day basis, I get to work with clients, manage the web team and prioritise the work that the web team does throughout the day. Overall I get to see projects through from the start to the finish (which I'd have to say is the best part) and work with clients to produce something that they and their users can work with.
On occasion I am also the bringer of lollies to the web team's desk.
