Content Management Systems

A good CMS helps you run your website better!

Website Content Management Systems (CMS) are used to manage websites, and usually allow different levels of access to separate the design and construction functionality from the content loading and management.

The importance of updating websites on a regular basis for marketing and customer satisfaction, means that having an easy to use, powerful and flexible content management system, is very important. We know it is necessary for many businesses to be able to manage your business website efficiently and cost effectively.

Of course, if you do not have the time to do it yourself it is still important that we manage your site using a CMS. It helps to make the work quicker, cheaper and more effective using content management systems, than hand coding each update.

To help make the process easier for you, we have become CMS experts, so you don’t have to be. We will help you choose the right CMS for your website, integrate it and train you on using it. Unlike many web design agencies, we actually provide ongoing CMS support for the products we provide. We want you to know there is someone watching your back!

What Content Management Systems do we recommend?

For most web sites we use either Drupal or WordPress. Quite simply if one of these two great products can’t do the job then it is highly likely you might need some custom or specialised system. We also work with Joomla sites but have preferred to focus more specifically on WordPress and Drupal.

When it comes to custom built CMS solutions, ireckon we have been building fast, clever content management tools for sites since before WordPress and Drupal came into existence. We know when something can or can’t be done effectively and the best processes to use to help you achieve what you need. We run and manage websites with hundreds of thousands of pages of content and five page web sites.

At the end of the day it doesn’t come down to what we prefer to use, it comes down to us understanding how these tools work, and helping you get the CMS tool that works right today, and will still be useful to you in the future.
