Building a microsite for Christmas

After the development of our own Christmas e-card last year, and the regular updating of our homepage for special occasions or events, we thought this year we would create a website that would let others choose how they celebrated Christmas with their friends and clients.

 
The result – Christmas Matters To Me.

Christmas Matters to Me is a microsite we have designed and developed to let businesses show friends and customers how much Christmas matters to them. It’s a site that doesn’t follow the conventional ‘norms’ when it comes to layout – but we thought – ‘it’s Christmas, let’s have fun’.

The site offers a range of products to choose from, such as Christmas E-cards, newsletter designs, email templates, website decoration, or microsite development.  Designs can be viewed using the pop up windows, or watching animations. The menu uses red Christmas Baubles that move when you mouse over them, hanging from a Christmas tree.

Although not your ‘typical’ website, it has been designed and developed in such a way that it is delivering the results we were after. Only after two weeks from launch it has been ranking for over 30 keyword phrases at number 1 position through to number 5 in Google.  We’ve had requests through from a wide range of companies all looking to do that something different this year.
