Website Design: The Mamre Association reaching out to members
30Nov07
The Mamre Association, approached ireckon because they knew their old website was not communicating with their different audiences.
The main goal and central focus for the new website was to allow their user groups access to the important, up-to-date information they had offline, but were not effectively distributing. These user groups include those with a disability, their families and friends, Government groups, other community organisations and Mamre staff. They also recognised the need to ensure they could communicate in more modern ways to meet the needs of their time poor audience.Using design concepts created specifically for an audience who may have difficulty in accessing and using information on the web, ireckon has created a vital tool for the Mamre community to access information and help online.
We’ve extended initial design concepts provided by Mariart, another Mamre partner, and created a website that is not only functional, but acts as a key contact point for all within the Mamre community. An easy to use online events calendar is proving a great way for all parties to stay up-to-date with the events and goings on that the Mamre Association are involved with, as well as the ability for visitors to download the latest Mamre newsletter, or read all the latest news from Mamre.
The simple management tools, built to ensure the usability of the online events calendar, and the news sections, mean the website is kept up-to-date and does not detract from the time and efforts of the Mamre Association staff to focus on helping their audience.
