Micro Site: Courier Mail Walk of Fame

ireckon we worked in conjunction with The Courier Mail to develop an online voting site for Brisbane’s ‘The Valley Walk of Fame’.

The Valley Walk of Fame concept was developed in memory of the late Grant McLennan, who passed away in May, 2006, The Courier Mail teamed with the Brisbane City Council for a Project aimed at recognising the contribution Queensland artists have made to the music industry over the past decades.

The online component allowed users to view bios for each band or artist and vote for their favourite. The most voted for artists each have a plaque erected in Fortitude Valley’s Brunswick Street Mall.

From the design concepts and the dynamic functions of the voting system, ireckon we have helped lay the foundations for a great ongoing concept, and enabled the Queensland community to recognise great Australian talent.
