The recent launch of whereilive.com.au shows that the sense of community is alive and thriving online.
Whereilive.com.au has been designed to help bring the community together and is comprised almost entirely of content created and uploaded by the community.
Nationwide News came to Ireckon with the idea of a website that engaged their readers more. They were after a site that was based around postcodes that enabled users to post local news, events, reviews and pictures, and also form groups or buy and sell their goods online.
Ireckon we were asked by Nationwide News to help drive their initial concept idea through to completion. Ireckon our role involved planning to help crystallize the idea, providing consultation on the functionality and specifications needed to achieve the result, and built the tools required to ensure the website worked. Ireckon also designed the logo and designed all the pages for the whereilive.com.au website.
As well as a website for individual users, whereilive.com.au also allows community groups and sporting organizations the chance to provide an easy access point online. Businesses are also able to link directly with local customers. Using the website is easy and free! Users just have to sign on and allocate themselves a username and password, and once confirmed, can begin to upload content.
Ireckon will continue to provide maintenance and ongoing development of the whereilive.com.au website and provide hosting of the website for Nationwide News.
